Our Story
It all started…
in the early 1900’s in a little village of Vita, on the island of Sicily. A family of seven lived in a two-room house with a wood stove in the corner and one small table where meals were shared. As a child, I remember my mother telling us stories filled with the love and devotion she had for family, faith, and her culture. Fresh homemade meals were the centerpiece that brought the family together after a long day. Life was hard but simple and filled with gratitude. Dreams of coming to America were just that…only dreams, until one day she married an ambitious young man from her village and they came to America. Here Maria and Vincenzo found a new life and the American dream.
My name is Vita, and I am my mother’s daughter. My family is excited to share our family’s treasured cannoli recipe made just like it was over 100 years ago in that little village of Vita, in Sicily.
